Sandy Creek Ranch is located in Southern California, about 60 miles east of downtown San Diego. We are in La Posta Valley, about 12 miles east of the mountain retreat, Pine Valley. The ranch is bordered on three sides by the Cleveland National Forest. This is a high desert area often subject to high winds. In fact, one year we were calling ourselves Windy Creek Ranch.

La Posta Creek runs through our property. Over the past 20 years or so little has been done in the way of flood management and repair of erosion. The creek used to flow across the property but now winds its way through a sometimes-deep ravine. This severe erosion has resulted in loss of trees, native plants, and wildlife. We are attempting to restore the environment with a conservation program that will raise the ground water level and bring back the plants and animals.
